To maintain security of the mail, and ensure it does not sit in Street Letter Boxes (SLBs) over the holiday period, Canada Post wishes to advise customers depositing mail in Street Letter Boxes that all SLBs normally cleared after 12 o’clock noon will be cleared at noon on December 24th and 31st. Collection from all SLBs with a posted clearance time prior to noon will be cleared as per normal.

Employees scheduled to work on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve will finish at 4 o’clock, therefore the early clearance of SLBs will allow them to complete the collection and bring the mail into secured facilities over the holiday period.
