Canada Post anti slips and falls ad - Public Service Announcement

Sleet, hail, rain and snow...

Falling temperatures bring more than just winter weather. For all Canadians, especially people like letter carriers and other delivery personnel who work outdoors, the cold temperatures also bring a significant increased risk of slips, trips and falls.

We work hard to provide the best delivery service possible—no matter what the weather—but we need your help.

Have a safe winter season

We want to reduce the number of accidents and injuries to our delivery personnel and all Canadians this winter. Many accidents are preventable and home and business owners play important roles in making winter safer for everyone by keeping entrances, walkways and stairs around their homes and businesses clear of snow and ice.

Help us keep delivery personnel—and anyone else who visits your property—safe this winter season by:

  • Shovelling walkways and driveways,
  • De-icing paths to mailboxes,
  • Ensuring stairs and entranceways are in good, safe repair, and
  • Keeping the area in front of mailboxes clear of snow, ice and other debris.

Be sure to check out our safety tips for more information.
